In the dense urban area the exceptional roof garden acts as the building’s fifth façade, where children can play in a protected, shaded environment.
The circular, triangular and square shapes of the roof terrace are creating a vertical connection with their lightwells to the inner changing rooms and transition zones.
These unique shapes are helping the children to orientate and to feel comfortable. The humorous and kind figures on the floors, walls and doors are making up the essential part of the building.
The magnetic and writable plasters on the walls are serving as an ad-hoc exhibition place for the children’s artworks.
