Az egyetem világi intézmény, tevékenységét azonban a katolikus hit szellemében végzi, ezért az épületek harmonikus egységet kívánnak létrehozni a szakrális atmoszféra és a campusépítészet között.
The campus is a city within a city. As an independent entity it is comprised of educational settings and amenities, while also being an intrinsic part of its environment. Instead of a cluster of established academic institutions, it is a living, inspiring system of connections in the university’s community.
The university is a secular institution, but it conducts itself in the spirit of the Catholic faith, so the buildings aim to create a harmonious unity between the sacred atmosphere and the campus architecture.
In addition to the restoration of listed palace buildings, the Hungarian architectural traditions are reflected in the new buildings’ design, in the treatment of the materials and ornamentation of their facades; as a reinterpretation of the modernism of Art Nouveau – which sought the roots of Hungarian architecture – but with a contemporary set of tools.
The entry is a joint project between Archikon Architects and the landscape architecture firm Újirány.
